Kingsley High School is a special needs school for young people aged from 11-19 and Bob was pleased to make a visit to hear about their 'Send my friend to school' campaign. Guide Dogs UK Campaign on Pavement Parking

Guide Dogs UK held an event for their campaign to keep parked cars and other obstacles off our pavements and Bob attended to show his support. He heard from guide dog owners on how parked cars and street clutter blocking the pavement force them to walk in the road and into the path of traffic they cannot see. Meeting with SafeSpace Pendle

Bob was pleased to meet with representatives of SafeSpace, a homelessness charity from Pendle, alongside Andrew Stephenson MP, to discuss his Homelessness Reduction Act.SafeSpace is a supported accommodation project for 16–25 year olds who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, providing 15 fully furnished flats and 4 emergency en-suite rooms while a support team helps youngsters with independent living skills.

NCRI 'Free Iran' Rally 2017

Bob once again attended the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) annual Free Iran rally alongside thousands of Iranian ex-pats and dignitaries from around the world. The aim of the rally is to call for a democratically elected Government in Iran and to draw more attention to the human rights abuses of the current regime. Maryam Rajavi is the President-elect of the NCRI and leader of the movement to press for democracy in the region.

India-UK Trade Event

Bob was pleased to speak at an event organised by the Indo-British All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and to meet a delegation of CEOs and other senior business leaders from India, including Chief Executives of Apollo Hospitals, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Forbes Marshall, Genpact, IL&FS, Jetline Group and Triveni Turbines. The event provided a forum for MPs and attendees to discuss future India-UK trade and investment opportunities.

Harrow Relay for Life 2017

Cancer Research UK hold an annual Harrow Relay for life and Candle of Hope Ceremony at the Bannister Sports Centre and Bob was honoured to come along and speak at the cermeony. He praised the work of everyone taking part and spoke about about how important it is for the community in Harrow to come together each year and support those who have suffered or are still suffering from cancer.

Jeremy Hunt Visits the RNOH

Bob invited Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore for a fact-finding mission to see how the redevelopment of the hospital is coming along. Friends of Canons Park 100th Anniversary of Rotary Foundation

The Friends of Canons Park hosted an event, in partnership with Harrow Council and The Shaw Trust, to celebrate 100 years of The Rotary Foundation. Hundreds of local people were invited to plant purple allium bulbs in a garden to permanently commemorate The Rotary Foundation and Bob enjoyed taking part, alongside local Councillors, to help the effort to get into the Guinness World Record books for the most allium bulbs planted simultaneously.
