Anthony Nolan Trust Donor Registration

Bob joined the Anthony Nolan Trust and Priti Patel MP in Parliament to encourage bone marrow donations from people from Asian backgrounds. According to the Anthony Nolan charity, currently, donors from Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds make up just 16 percent of the register and patients only have a 20.5 percent chance of finding the best possible donor match.

B's Button Campaign

Bob joined around 100 volunteers at Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue to help count 200,000 buttons for B's Buttons.This campaign began after a pupil in Windermere, Cumbria, who was learning about the Holocaust, was asked to come up with a meaningful way of understanding the scale of mass-murder that took place during the Second World War. It's hoped that once 1.5 million buttons are collected, they will be transformed into a permanent Holocaust memorial.

Ramanavami at Bhaktivedanta Manor 2018

Ramanavami is one of the most auspicious days in the Vaisnava calendar as it marks the birth of Lord Rama. Bob took part in the celebrations at ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Manor, including special decorations, dancing and discussion on the famous epic, The Ramayana. Also featured was a swan boat, on which the deities Radha and Krishna were represented, and free prasadam (food) for all attendees.

Our Prime Minister, Theresa May, made a visit to Harrow to speak with local residents and support the local Conservative team. She and her husband Philip also made a visit, stopping by popular local restaurant Bombay Central, before heading out to Kenton with Bob.

A New Library for Avanti House Primary School

Avanti House Primary School has been working hard to create a school library for its pupils and Bob was pleased to come along and cut the ribbon for its Grand Opening. In celebration, the children dressed up as their favourite book character - leading to some excellent costume choices - and they also took part in learning experiences to encourage a love of reading throughout the day.

The Dogs Trust #ShockinglyLegal Campaign

Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, has launched its #ShockinglyLegal campaign to urge the Government to ban the sale of electronic shock collars and Bob has pledged his support to help ban the use and sale of these aversive training devices.
